"My hope is readers want to follow me long-term because I’m a relatable, emotionally intelligent author."
I’ve had a lifelong love of escaping into the magical world of stories. From Cat in the Hat, through Black Beauty, the Famous Five and The Chronicles of Narnia, I spent many childhood years bewitched by imagined worlds.
I gained an Honours Degree in English Literature at Bristol University – and then the grown-up world took hold for a few decades, in the shape of a career in Human Resources, largely in international corporations and ranging across the UK, Europe and the U.S. Still, my fascination with people and their real motivations persisted.
Eventually, when I wound down my fulltime job commitments, I studied Creative Writing with the University of East Anglia and discovered that my love of writing stories was still alive and ready to spill out into stories. After several short stories, I’ve written Common Secrets, my first published novel. I hope you enjoy it! I’m now working on my second novel, which will be published next year.
I now live in the English countryside in West Sussex, with my husband, two jolly labradoodles and two little rescue cats. I’m also a fitness fan, in particular strength training and pilates.
